OVERVIEW OF
2nd Agile Cyber Drill 2026
The increasing complexity of the cyber threat landscape calls for a stronger, more coordinated approach to cybersecurity. Encouraged by the achievements of earlier cyber resilience initiatives, Bangladesh remains committed to enhancing cyber preparedness, incident response capabilities, and organizational resilience across Corporate Bodies, Private Organizations, MFIs, NBFIs, Sectoral Industries, and Public Networks.
The Software Testing Laboratory (STL), the first and only software testing laboratory accredited under ISO/IEC 17025:2017 by the Bangladesh Accreditation Board (BAB), Ministry of Industries, is mandated to conduct software testing, independent cybersecurity assessments, and coordinate cybersecurity testing programs and initiatives. In line with this mandate, STL strives to enhance national cybersecurity readiness and incident response capabilities through the organization of cyber incident response exercises and drills.

On 14th December, 2024 at the National Press Club. Software Testing Laboratory, AGS Quality Action Limited held a successful press conference to announce its highly anticipated Cyber Drill Program. This initiative, aimed to enhance cybersecurity preparedness, is now set to launch on 26 February, 2025. The press conference featured representatives from the Bangladesh Computer Society (BCS), reaffirming their technical partnership with AGS QA. This collaboration emphasizes the importance of addressing cybersecurity challenges collectively.
Highlights of the Announcement:
- Event Launch Date: The Cyber Drill Program will officially commence on 26 February 2025.
- Participants: The event primarily targets corporate IT professionals, enabling them to strengthen their organizations' resilience against cyber threats.
- Program Features: Simulations of phishing, ransomware, and DDoS attacks to test response strategies, identify vulnerabilities, and promote proactive cybersecurity

Description
The 2nd Agile Cyber Drill 2026 is a national cyber resilience initiative organized to strengthen the protection of Critical Information Infrastructure (CII) and enhance cyber incident preparedness across government agencies, corporate bodies, financial institutions, sectoral industries, and private organizations. The drill aims to improve collaboration, incident response, communication, escalation, and reporting capabilities among participating organizations.
The exercise will be conducted remotely, enabling participants to respond to realistic cyberattack scenarios from their respective workplaces in real time. Through scenario-based activities, organizations will practice incident handling, coordination, and information sharing using designated communication platforms, contributing to a more resilient and secure digital ecosystem.
